Resolving real estate disputes with realtors

Real estate transactions are a complicated and lengthy process. Often there are many moving parts and many individuals involved in a real estate transaction. When problems arise, it can be difficult to know how to respond to the issue. It can also be difficult to determine who was responsible for causing the problem in the first place.

In many real estate transactions, a realtor is present. A realtor can be responsible for a variety of different aspects of the transaction. A realtor could also be responsible for causing a problem. It is important for Texas residents to understand how to resolve a real estate dispute caused by a realtor.

When individuals are having a dispute with the realtor, there are many options that they can try to resolve the dispute. First, individuals can try to talk to the realtor to solve the problem on their own. If this doesn't work, then there is a Texas Association of Realtors ombudsman program that allows realtor volunteers to help try and clear up miscommunications between realtors and other parties. This can be one way in which individuals may be able to come to a resolution on their real estate dispute.

Additionally, individuals can try mediation in order to resolve the dispute. In mediational a third-party mediator tries to help the parties compromise on the issues in the case.

If this doesn't work, individuals can file a formal complaint through the Texas Association of Realtors. Individuals have 180 days to make a complaint from the time they knew or should've known that the mistake or unethical behavior occurred. This professional standards committee can help to get to the bottom of in issue in a more formal way.

"Grimm Collections utilized Mr. W. Tyler Moore for a very complicated matter of litigation regarding non-payment of freight invoices to one of our clients local to the Houston area. I’ve worked with many attorneys throughout the United States on many litigation matters and the biggest deficiencies are lack of industry knowledge and poor communication/follow up.." - D.M.
